Collaborate

III. Mobilising resources and building collaborations for the development of northeast

In a region as diverse and complex as Northeast India, collaboration among civil society organisations is not just valuable, it is essential. Geographic isolation, socio-political diversity and limited access to resources continue to challenge grassroots organisations working to support vulnerable communities. In this context, Roots to Branches Foundation remains committed to strengthening networks, promoting dialogue, and building partnerships that can amplify impact and support long-term resilience.

Charcha Café

Beyond formal networks, RBF is invested in fostering open and inclusive dialogue spaces. One such space is the Charcha Café. The last Charcha Cafe event was held on 26 July 2024 at Agora the Space in Guwahati. The evening brought together more than 80 participants from various civil society organisations to celebrate the spirit of volunteerism. It served as an opportunity to connect informally, share stories, and recognise the everyday efforts of those working in the field.

Between July and September 2024, we facilitated two state-level consultations with civil society organisations in Mizoram and Nagaland. The Mizoram consultation, organised in collaboration with Zoram Enthu Pawl, welcomed a wide range of organisations working on grassroots issues. The Nagaland consultation, hosted with CAN Youth and YouthNet, further expanded this dialogue. Together, the consultations brought in representatives from 37 organisations,
